The Red Wing Collectors Society, Inc. is an organization which promotes the collection of Red Wing and American pottery. Founded in 1977, the society has members in the majority of the states as well as in Canada. Membership is open to all persons interested in collecting American pottery and stoneware.

One of the highlights of the Society year is the annual 3-day convention held the second full weekend in July in Red Wing, Minnesota. Education is a special component of the convention with a full day being devoted to seminars on Red Wing and U.S. pottery. Displays with educational motif are also set for viewing during the convention. Activities of the convention include a show and sale, auction, banquet, business meeting, and other special events.

A special commemorative piece is issued for each convention. These highly sought after pieces are made in a limited quantity and are available only to Society members.

The Red Wing Collectors Society also publishes a newsletter issued 6 times a year. Each issue contains feature articles, a section on state chapter activities, information on new finds in collecting and a place for ads.

State chapters of the Society have been organized in several states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin. These chapters meet several times throughout the year.
