The Oyster Plate & Collectibles Society International encourages the collection, preservation and study of all oyster-related items. Members are urged to work closely with other organizations that have similar interests in preserving oyster-related treasures. Oyster related collectibles include: oyster plates, serving pieces (master or individual), flatware, advertising items, shucking tools and harvesting equipment, cans and containers, jewelry, flasks and glassware, photographs, original art, publications and books.

The Society publishes a quarter newsletter and sponsors an annual convention and auction. The Society's website contains some great photos of oyster plates and other related collectibles and also has a major section on new oyster plates and reproductions.

Membership is $20/year or $30 for dealers.
