The American Spoon Collectors is devoted to the promotion and support of the collecting of Souvenir Spoons. Bill Boyd (editor emeritus of Spooners Forum), founded the organization in 1974. Since then ASC has grown into a national and international organization providing opportunities for spoon collectors to communicate with one another and share stories about mutual collecting passions.

American Spoon Collectors publishes a monthly newsletter called "Spooners Forum" which includes feature articles and information about souvenir spoons and spoon collecting as well as timely editorial topics, member letters and advertising (members receive one free ad per year).
