"only one out there" collecting that particular rariety. And, sometimes they are!
Often they are looking for another collector somewhere in the world that has the same
collecting interests, so they can communicate. Some are asking if there is a collecting
club established in this area...or are interested in starting a club if they can find a
few other collectors.

Commercial Ashtrays. I've been collecting commercial ashtrays for about 5 years (casinos, hotels, restaurants, liquor, cigarettes, etc.). I have over 600 with some duplicates. Furniture "Commodes". I collect old wooden pieces of furniture which were used as toilets. By looking at them one cannot tell what they are. All have attached lids which open to reveal seats, crocks and/or chamber pots. I use them as end tables. Two are round and, I believe, are French. A few are primitive. My favorite is the one with the mechanical arms. No matter how much I search, I can't find anyone else who collects these items. Researching leads me to chamber pots (the pots are inside the furniture), near chairs, invalid chairs and commodes. However, some commodes have a swing door opening to reveal a chamber pot. Mine are actual pieces of furniture. Nothing I have found describes what I have. I thank anyone who can assist me in my long search. I would like to hear from anyone else who collects these items. Holiday Stickers. I am a female born in 1942, raised in a suburb of south Philadelphia and we girls collected and traded stickers as the boys were trading baseball cards. I have many of these little treasures which consist of all holidays and special occasion stickers...Abe Lincoln, Halloween, Christmas...surely somebody else did this somewhere. Hollywood. Has anyone there ever heard of any information center or organization for people who collect Old Hollywood memorabilia -- specifically old '20s, '30s and '40s movie magazines like Motion Picture Classic, etc? I know there are people who collect this stuff because there are usually multiple bidders on old movie magazines whenever they appear on eBay, but I never heard of an organization of people into this. Finding such an organization would be very useful because I'm trying to find out how people typically keep and preserve their old magazines (are there special Mylar bags, for instance, like there are for comic books?). Methodist Church Plates. I would like to know if there are others collecting commemorative Methodist plates (churches, hospitals, historical events, schools, etc.). We began collecting in 1988. Our first purchase was a yard sale find in Kansas City, Missouri. We hapd $1 for that first plate. Today, we have over 1,700 plates and are recognized by the United Methodist Church as having a collection that is "historically significant." And, last November, we received notification from the Guinness Book of World Records that our collection has been accepted as the world's largest church plate collection. Military Pillow Covers. I enjoy collecting the military pillow covers that were prominent, particularly during the World War II period, but also prior to and after WWII. Often the cover had a military design and they were often addressed to "Mother" or "Sweetheart" or some other similar acquaintance. Some were generic just saying Army or Marines, etc. but many had the names of the forts or bases on them...many of these now no longer in existance. Monkey Greeting Cards. I am not a collector of monkey greeting cards because I can't find anything on the web about them. I always look for humorous monkey greeting cards for friends and family, but then I give them away! Maybe that's why I can't find anyone else who collects them! Maybe this is a collection area for which there is no one who collects it. Does that make sense? I am talking about humorous chimps dressed up as humans that you see at any greeting card display. Also any stick on's, or magnets, or anything with a humorous chimp joke on it. All I've ever been able to find on the internet is natural monkey cards with apes and orangutans done by serious save the planet types. Occupied Germany Items. I enjoy picking up items produced in the sectors which occupied Germany following World War II. Similar to Occupied Japan items, these products are all marked but normally not with the word "occupied" but rather they are marked "US Zone," "British Zone," "French Zone," or "Russian Zone." Items had to be marked for a much shorter period of time than in Japan so they are harder to find, particularly those from the Russian and French zones. Does anyone else collect these items?

Transport TicketsI have been collecting transport tickets for over 20 years. My collection primarily consists of tickets from the former territory of USSR and includes all major cities. Also, my collection features modern time ticketing systems from different countries in a wide and broad range ticket varieties. Tickets are for all means of transportation - bus, trolleybus, tram, metropoliten or underground - all together about 1,500 units. I'm starting my project on the web and hope soon to publish some samples of my collection on my page. Travel Decals. I collect old decals of the travel, tourist, pin-up, advertising, comic and gas/oil varieties. Different from luggage labels in that they are of the water base/water slide type (must be soaked in water to release image from backing paper). These were common from the 1930s through the 1950s. TV Soundtracks from the "Golden Age". I collect TV soundtracks from the "Golden Age" of television. I have collected the sound of old variety shows, interviews, talk shows, specials and sporting events. I have these programs on both reel to reel and audio cassettes. I try to concentrate on old TV shows which no longer exist as video. That is, the video portion of the program has been erased, destroyed or wasn't recorded in the first place. Unusual meaning items that are unusual looking, have an unusual use, not very common, or items that do not immediately give away their purpose for being manufactured at first glance. Williraye. I am fairly new at collecting Williraye and have been unsuccessful in trying to connect with other collectors and/or resources for purchasing older pieces. The registration card has an area for individuals to register their pieces as investments, but I have also been unsuccessful in trying to find out what Coynes does with the information -- it does not appear to be available to a collector.
