Join A Club - Designed to Help Collecting Clubs Recruit New Members - Needs the Help of Antique Malls, Shows, Auction Houses, Galleries

The Association of Collecting Clubs needs your help! ACC has launched a new program to help promote collecting groups - a program tailored to use in antiques & collectibles malls and at shows and fairs, flea markets, auction houses & galleries.

Collecting groups are a very important segment of our antiques, art & collectibles community. They exist to help collectors. For many collecting areas, these clubs - and their members - represent the knowledge base for the collecting area that group supports. They provide connections to other collectors, and friendships that can last a life time.

Many of our clubs are having serious problems with declining participation and are experiencing aging memberships. On the other hand, we have more new collectors...and young collectors...today than ever before - many who are unfamiliar with collecting clubs and what they have to offer. These clubs need to reach new audiences of collectors - audiences such as those which you are reaching.

The Join A Club program is a simple program. ACC will provide a Join A Club logo banner and quantities of Join A Club visitor response forms listing clubs. Your customers or visitors can check clubs from which they would like to receive membership information. (They can select a maximum of 5 clubs.)

As a show or mall manager, auctioneer or gallery owner, your responsibility is to display the banner and the quantity of forms in a prominent location. Completed forms are returned to ACC which conveys the requests to a designated Join A Club rep in each club. They send information directly to the collector.

There are several response forms carrying different listings of clubs, including general listings, listings offering a geographic breakdown (perfect for smaller state & regional clubs), and a dozen topical or subject area forms such as one listing glassware & pottery and another for ceramics, porcelain & pottery clubs.

Participating malls, shows, auction houses & galleries will be considered ACC Partners and receive publicity through our websites - http://Collectors.org and http://JoinAClub.Org - and in ACC's electronic newsletters to clubs. ACC works with over 2,400 collecting clubs. Partners can have direct access to utilizing the ACC News Service, and can participate in the Collectors Trade Show on the website, promoting your business or service.

ACC encourages our Partners to carry a direct link to the eletronic check-off sheet on the JoinAClub.org website from your own business website. Visit the Logo Store on that site.

ACC seeks partners to help support this program by covering out-of-pocket costs. This will assist greatly in the expansion of the program, however a monetary donation is not required for partners to join in and participate.

The Association of Collecting Clubs exists to support collecting groups, their leadership and membership, in a variety of areas including club promotion, membership recruitment, reaching new audiences, strengthening conventions, working with young collectors, networking, club insurance and club management.
