Advertising with the Association of Collecting Clubs (ACC) and the National Association of Collectors (NAC) through the Collectors.Org website provides the advertiser with a unique opportunity to place their information in an environment dedicated solely to the antiques and collectibles industry. Whether your target audience is the private collector, the auction enthusiast or an antique mega-mall, whether buying or selling, we can help connect you with potential customers that can enhance your business and increase your profits or services..

Collectors.Org, the website for collectors and collector clubs, is actively serving the leadership and the membership of hundreds of collecting clubs and societies. Collectors.Org is the official website of both the National Association of Collectors (NAC) and the Association of Collecting Clubs (ACC). It is where the well-informed collectors...and dealers...get their information.

The ACC/NAC provides a multi-faceted approach to advertising your product or service. Collectively, our advertising program is known as the Collectors Ad Network. The ad network has the following options available to you:

  • Display ads in our Collectors Trade Show
  • Classified ads in the Classifieds Annex of the Collectors Trade Show
  • Business cards ads in the Business Card Wing of the Collectors Trade Show
  • Banner, button and ribbon ads throughout the Collectors.Org site

What is the Collectors Ad Network?

The Collectors Ad Network is a combination of services available to organized collecting groups through the Association of Collecting Clubs (ACC). In particular, member groups...

  • submit stories directly to the ACC News Service.
  • pull banner advertising onto their organization website.
  • earn referral commissions for new advertisers in the Collectors Trade Show.
  • augment their offerings to site visitors by connecting to the Collectors Trade Show.

The Collectors Trade Show Display Advertising

  • The Collectors Trade Show is modeled after the real-world trade show in that advertisers or exhibitors are organized into aisles based on what they are advertising. Once a guest enters an aisle, they are free to roam from one booth to the next and from one aisle to the next. As they roam the aisles, they are presented with a display ad for a specific exhibitor. The content and layout of each ad varies based on the needs of the exhibitor.
  • In addition to being able to 'roam the aisles', the bottom of each aisle directory also lists, as appropriate, related ailses of potential interest.
  • We work direcftly with all advertisers in the Trade Show to accomodate your specific display needs Trade Show advertisers can include their E-Mail address and a direct link to their own web site at no additional charge.
  • Collectors Trade Show Rates: $100.00 per year per booth
  • Collectors Trade Show advertisers may make changes in their ad up to two times during the year at no additional cost. If you choose to use an existing display advertisement from another publication, we will need approval in writing giving Collectors.Org and it's agents permission to use the ad/artwork.
  • Volume discounts are available to those advertisers that want to open several Trade Show booths in multiple aisles.

Classifieds Annex of the Collectors Trade Show

  • Classfied ads are similar to the classified ad section of a modern newspaper. Advertisers submit a text ad containing all of the relevant information. Ads are then grouped together for presentation to site guests based on ad content. For example, ads for comic books are in one class, while ads for glassware are in a separate class.
  • Classified ads are text only and may be purchased in units of 30 words each. Multiple units may be purchased, e.g. 60 words or 90 words @ twice or three times the cost. Telephone numbers, FAX numbers, E-mail addresses and Internet URLs count as 1 word each. For example, http://Collectors.Org would count as one word, as would 301.926.8663.
  • Classified Rates Per Unit: $20.00 per year per 30-word unit.
  • No changes are permitted in classified ads other than correcting errors, telephone/FAX numbers and web/E-Mail addresses. Any further changes require that the ad be cancelled and a new ad placed.
  • No images are permitted in classified ads.
  • If you include an E-mail address or Internet URL, it will be 'clickable' so that potential customers can send you an E-mail or go directly to your site.
  • You may use bold and italics in your ad. Sorry, but underlined words are reserved for use to indicate 'clickable' links.
  • Categories will be added as necessary.
  • Volume discounts are available to those advertisers that want to place several classified ads in multiple classes.
  • If available, the bottom of each classified section will include news stories from collecting groups relevant to the class.

Business Card Wing of the Collectors Trade Show

  • Much like the business cards ad sections in magazines, the Collectors Trade Show has the Business Card Wing. Also, like the Classified Ads Annex, business cards are grouped together based on the product or service being offered.
  • Business Card Rates: $20.00 per year per card per classification.
  • The Business Card Annex is also connected directly to the main Trade Show floor. If an Trade Show exhibitor also places an ad in the Business Card Wing, the business card ad is connected to their booth on the Trade Show floor. This is similar to a yellow pages ad where you see "See our display ad on page xxx". This give the exhibitor double exposure for little added cost.
  • Volume discounts are available to those advertisers that want to place several business card ads in multiple classes.

Banner, Button and Ribbon Targeted Advertising

The Collectors.org site offers banner, button and ribbon ads for your consideration. There are many options related to positioning and to frequency.

Frequency - Ads can be purchased on the monthly, 6-month or 12-month basis. We offer two options for display. A "static" ad which is continuously visible for the duration of the advertising period. Or, a "rotating" ad which is continuously changing with two or three other ads on the same location.

Location - All banner, button and ribbon ads are located on the site in one of several designated options:

  1. Premium page location of your choice - top or bottom
  2. Premium page location of webmaster's choice - top or bottom
  3. Location on designated non-premium page - top or bottom

A direct link to your own website is included on all banner, button and ribbon ads. Animation is acceptable, but file size must be no larger than 15KB. Graphics must be supplied, or can be produced for an extra fee.

Advertising rates for banner, button and ribbon ads are quoted once we determine your preferences for location and frequency.

A direct link to your own web site is included on all banner, button and ribbon ads. Animation is acceptable, but file size must be no larger than 25KB. Graphics must be supplied, or can be produced at additional cost.

General Information

  1. POLICY: Collectors.Org reserves the right to maintain this site strictly antiques and collectibles oriented. Collectors.Org may refuse ads which do not relate to antiques or collectibles and/or the preservation, storage, display and restoration of antiques and collectibles. Collectors.Org assumes no responsiblity for misprints or claims and actions by it's advertisers.


  2. Approval: All advertising copy and images are subject to the approval of Collectors.Org. Collectors.Org reserves the right to edit advertising copy, format and images to conform with advertising policies. Collectors.Org also reserves the right to reject any advertising deemed inappropriate.


  3. Advertiser Responsibility: Advertiser's and advertising agencies utilized by an advertiser assume liability for all content, including text representation and images, of advertisements listed on this site and also assume responsibility for any claims arising from any ad copy that may be made against Collectors.Org and it's agents. It is the sole responsiblity of the advertiser or selected agency to obtain appropriate releases on any item or individuals appearing within the advertisement.


  4. Advertising Accuracy: Neither Collectors.Org nor it's agents assume any responsibility for the accuracy or authenticity of any description or item advertised and makes no warranty as to either.


  5. Deadlines: Due to the nature of the Internet, there are no publication deadlines. Ads will be placed on-line as soon as is practical upon receipt and acceptance of ad copy and payment.


  6. Classification Policy: Collectors.Org and it's agents reserve the right to classify ads into the category that we deem is appropriate. Advertising must be related to the antiques and/or collectibles fields and may include antiques, collectibles, display materials, preservation/restoration supplies, and events pertaining to such.


  7. Payment in Advance: Payment in full must be received before any ad will be published. If you are unsure of the cost of your ad, please send it in and you will be advised of the cost.


  8. Methods of Payment: For your convenience, you may pay for your ad by check, money order, VISA, Mastercard, or American Express. Checks or money orders should be made payable to "Collectors.Org Web Ads".


  9. U. S. Funds Only: Payments made by check or money order must be drawn on a US financial institution. Failure to do so will result in the publication of your ad being delayed, and may result in additional charges.


  10. Telephone Ads: Ad copy is not accepted over the phone.


  11. Errors: Neither Collectors.Org, nor it's agents, assume any liability for typographical errors in posted ads, except to the extent of reposting the incorrect portion of the ad.


  12. Prior Sale: All merchandise advertised on this site is subject to prior sale by whatever means the advertiser deems appropriate.

Additional Information:
Banner, Button, Ribbon and Collectors Trade Show Ads

  1. We DO NOT support the use of ads based on Macromedia Flash, embeddded audio or embedded video. This is not open to discussion or negotiation.


  2. NEVER SEND YOUR ONLY COPY!


  3. Photographs:
    Clear color or black and white photographs may be mailed to the address below. Your photograph will be scanned using one of our color flat-bed scanners.


  4. Computer Generated/Enhanced Images:
    We use Adobe Photoshop and Adobe ImageReady to prepare images for publishing on the Internet. If you would like to submit your images in a Photoshop compatible format, you may do so using one of the accepted media formats.


  5. Color Depth:
    Due to the inherent differences between the many models of graphics adapters and monitors available today, please be aware that not all viewers of Internet graphics will be able to view all of the colors in your image. Every attempt will be made to create color-accurate images for the Internet ad, but may not be accurately viewable by all visitors.


  6. Image Size and Complexity:
    The maximum image size that will be posted is 500 pixels x 500 pixels and a pixel resolution of 72 pixels per inch. This will produce an image roughly 5 1/4" square when printed.

    While it's true that you can display just about anything on the web, keep in mind that not everyone has a high speed connection and fast machines. It is best to keep your images simple.


  7. Image Detail:
    The more detail in an image, the longer it will take to load. Also, depending on the quality of the original photo, etc, getting the image to fit within the 500x500 pixel limit may cause loss of detail. If you're unsure, send us the image and we'll let you know.


  8. Image Compression:
    Depending on the size of images submitted, we will attempt to use standard image compression software to reduce the file size to that the image loads faster. Every attempt will be made to create fast-loading images with minimal loss in quality. As a last resort, we can "slice" the image into several smaller images. The results will have the effect of different portion of the image becoming visible at different times, but producing a seamless image when complete.


  9. Return of Artwork:
    All artwork supplied by the customer will be retained.


  10. Additional Artwork Charges:
    Basic artwork services are available at no addtional cost. Depending on the complexity required, additional artwork services may be available for nominal service charges. Inquiries should be accompanied by an outline of design requirements.


  11. Acceptable Submission Formats and Media:
    Artwork for ads, banners and buttons may be submitted in any of the following formats and media:

Where to Send Your Ad Copy

When you are ready to submit your ad, you may send your copy to us in either of the following methods:
