About the Directory
This directory provides information on some of the major flea markets, listed by city under
state headings. There is a wide range of events included, from traditional "flea markets"
to farmers markets, antique markets, court days and traders' marts.
Some sell mostly old & used items, while others sell mostly new merchandise, and most have
a combination of both. Some are small with 20-30 vendors while others have hundreds, even
a few with thousands of vendors. Many are held outside, some are completely inside, and
some are both inside/outside. Some markets are held annually and semi-annually while others
are conducted monthly, every weekend or daily.
Although a few charge nominal fees for admittance or parking, many are free and provide
excellent hours of enjoyment brousing through the merchandise, whether or not you buy
their wares. Most markets provide opportunities to buy useful, practical items, new or used,
many offer fresh produce, and most do have vendors with antiques and colletibles, and often
at bargain prices. Flea markets are fun...and addictive!
