Publications supporting the antiques, art and collectibles industry
are an important partnering group with the Association of Collecting Clubs
(ACC) and the National Association of Collectors (NAC). Through the
Collector Publications partnership program, we work closely with dozens of
collector publications - no two partnerships being exactly the same.
The National Association of Collectors is for individual collectors -
identifying and addressing the needs and concerns common to all collectors.
The Association of Collecting Clubs works with the leadership of over 5,000
collecting clubs on six continents who have combined memberships of well
over 10 million serious collectors and investors. The memberships of these
two associations comprise a key segment of the target audience of most
collector publications.
We are continually reminding the publicity chairmen of the various
collecting groups to send their news to the editors of collecting
publications.
A publications directory on the Collectors.Org website assists
publications chairmen in selecting appropriate outlets for their news and
features - http://Collectors.Org/Publications/ Over 170 publications are
featured in the directory which provides both contact information and a
description of the publication. If your publication is not currently
listed, or is in need of update, we invite you to visit the directory and
submit your information.
Why a partnership?
Obviously, the serious collectors and dealers who are members of NAC,
and the many collecting groups associated with ACC, are large segments of
your publication's readers... or should be. If there are ways we can help
increase your readership, expand your advertising base, and strengthen your
editorial, news and feature areas, we are happy to help. If there are ways
you can help promote clubs and the collecting areas the clubs support, this
would be helpful. For both ACC and NAC, publications can promote what we
do. We all can help educate collectors - our members and your readers - in
many ways.
Since many publications have excellent websites, we consider this an
added opportunity for the options of partnering.

ACC News Service
The ACC News Service is the only news service on the
internet with news, announcements and features about collecting clubs being
the primary focus. Hundreds of articles are added each year and when they
expire they are retained in the News Service Archives. This is an excellent
source for collector publications.

Club Conventions & Events Calendar
A great resource for publications
which have calendars of events or announce upcoming events. Club
conventions, shows, workshops, conferences and other events are listed in
this calendar. All event entries must be club-sponsored.

ACC Club Directory
The largest, most accurate and thorough directory
on the Internet with over 5,500 collecting clubs listed, this is a valuable
resource for editors and writers. Clubs are listed both in alpha order and
in topical or subject order. Club contacts and a club description is
provided, along with the type of club, affiliates, publication, website,
and what the club offers. A search window allows visitors to easily locate
clubs fitting their needs.

Collectors Trade Show
This virtual Trade Show on the Collectors.Org
website provides hundreds of booths offering products and services of
interest to clubs and to collectors. Dozens of these booths offer ACC/NAC
member discounts. A number of publications already have a booth in the
Collector Publications Aisle.

Collectors.Org
For 15 years the Collectors.Org website has been a key
free information website serving the antiques, art and collectibles
industry - including collector publications. In addition to the various
website features listed above, the site offers one of the best flea market
directories on the internet, and the largest conservation, repair and
restoration directory. There is an auctioneers directory, a collectibles
glossary directory and an auction and show calendar directory. There are
sections on reporting thefts, the Federal Trade Commission and the Hobby
Protection Act. Also, on appraisals and appraising, laws and regulations
regarding preservation, patent dates, and consumer privacy. Over 30 ACC/NAC
program areas provide information on everything from global collecting to
kids and collecting, from security and insurance to collection management.

Our two associations work
closely with partners in a variety of different areas - show managers,
antique malls, logo merchants, publishers, collector software programs,
convention and visitors bureaus, to name a few. Collector publications are
one of these important partnering groups. Please let us know how we can

members - be it member discounts on subscriptions, advertising discounts
