We have prepared the following draft announcement letter to assist you in announcing to your members that your group has become a member of the Association of Collecting Clubs (ACC). Please feel free to use all, or any part, of this draft in producing your own announcement letter to your membership through distribution in a member mailing, through your newsletter or publication or on your website in a members' only area. Remember to include the special Login ID & Password so your members can gain access to the Members' Only area on the ACC Collectors.Org website.

We are pleased to announce that the ##### has joined the Association of Collecting Clubs - an association of collecting clubs, societies and associations supporting a broad range of collecting areas. ACC's primary purpose is to build coalitions between clubs, networking to share information for strengthening clubs and helping us to better serve you - our members.



What does this mean to #####?

  • ACC can serve as the conduit for #####, developing closer relations with other clubs and groups with similar interests - strengthening our shows, our programs, our convention, our publications.

  • ACC membership can help make ##### more visible to a much broader segment of the collecting community including those collectors who may have an interest in the study, preservation & collection of (your collecting area) but who are not now one of our members.

  • ACC offers broad areas of club leadership information, resources and idea exchange. Some of these areas include strengthening club conventions, serving new audiences, membership recruitment & retention, management and finances for clubs, law & legal ramifications for clubs, strengthening club websites and publications, and club leadership models. We have the opportunity to not only gain information from these areas, but to offer through ACC, some of our own expertise to assist other collecting clubs.

  • ##### will receive a direct link from the ACC website home page to the membership application form on our own website through a special "Join a Club" section.

  • The ACC News Service allows us to broadly distribute our news to the antiques & collectibles industry and beyond.

  • ACC offers multiple opportunities designed to help promote (Name of your club) and recruit new members for us.

  • ACC is becoming a strong voice in the antiques & collectibles industry representing both collectors and collecting clubs, including #####.



What does this mean to individual ##### members?

  • For every club which joins ACC, all club members automatically become members of NAC, the National Association of Collectors - ACC's "sister" association. This means that as a ##### member, you have full use of the NAC program areas and the NAC Partnership program offering reduced prices on a broad range of products and services through the Collectors Trade Show on http://TradeShow.Collectors.org. This includes everything from display cases and collector supplies to Internet software programs, reduced subscriptions and price guides & collector books, and the NAC Insurance Program for Collectors. The Collectors Trade Show is a growing area, offering more products and services as new partners join the Trade Show.

  • The NAC/ACC website at http://collectors.org offers collectors a broad range of free educational information in the forms of directories, schedules and current news about collecting and collecting clubs. There is a Collecting Clubs' Directory, repair & restoration directory, a flea market directory, auctioneers' directory, a directory of glossaries, surveys on special collecting issues, theft reports and much more. The ##### website will have a direct link to the NAC/ACC website from our home page.
