No other program area is potentially more important to collecting clubs than this one. If the new technologies available to club leaders today - along with the continuous flow of new and better technology products coming on the market daily - were applied to club operations, changes would be significant.
Reaching new audiences, advancing knowledge to the membership through new technology, club promotion and membership recruitment, club member communication - all areas where new technology can have major, major impact. Through the use of CD's, VCR's, digital photography, cam recorders, put your club's knowledge base on permanent file, accessible directly to every collector's home, local library and classroom.
Printed features in your hobby area currently being placed in the club's periodical or other collector publications can be supplemented or replaced with state-of-the-art presentations with dissemination potential hindered only be as far as your imagination allows you to take it.
Are you interested in reaching young collectors - use the technology tools they are familiar with today - not yesterday's communication's tools.
A Program Advisory Group is developing this program area and will continue to monitor, add to, and refine the information on an ongoing basis. Discussion Forums are available for collectors to gain more specific information from a variety of forum participants. The primary purpose of the Association of Collecting Clubs (ACC) is to build coalitions between clubs, networking to share information for strengthening member clubs and better serving their memberships.
